DIY home decor is my specialty, especially the kind that costs less to make then to buy! Today I'm sharing a collection of DIY projects for your home that you can make for less than $20 each.

These projects range from decorative to seasonal to functional furniture. This goes to show that you can DIY just about anything. Each of these projects is a part of a monthly challenge I participate in called the At Home DIY Challenge.

Each month this talented group of bloggers teams up to share a home project with a theme. This month we were challenged to share a project that cost less than $20.

I shared these cute wood lanterns which have quickly become my favorite fall decor. Since they are simple and black I know I will be using these for winter too. So many possibilities here.

When you set out to create a DIY project it's easy to go way over budget. Buying all the supplies can cost an arm and a leg. I recommend shopping the clearance sections of Joann and Michael's and using your coupons on the newer items. You can always scope out the current Dollar Tree selection as well.

The more DIY and craft projects you do, the more supplies you'll accumulate. A small 2 oz bottle of craft paint can last a long time, buy it now and use it for your next 10 projects.

The projects I have rounded up below are all items you can use in your home. Some are functional and some are decorative, but they will all add a little personality to your home.

When you create a piece your own style will shine through. I like that so much more than buying a standard piece or art or furniture that half my friends also have in their home.
