Do you have a bathroom that could use an update? I sure do. Kids, guests, and just everyday wear and tear have taken a toll on my main floor powder room. A full bathroom renovation is not in the budget, but I’ve found a few ways to update this space without breaking the bank. Take a look at these simple ways to update a bathroom that truly make an impact.

My main floor powder room is small, just 3’x8’ with a pocket door. Yet it’s one of the most used rooms in our home! It’s just off the back door, so it’s visible for all to see, and manages to get dirty every day. The towel bar has come out of the wall, water stains dot the walls, and the decor is collecting dust. The room doesn’t need a major renovation, just a few updates to make it shine.
3 ways to update a bathroom
Here’s how I updated my bathroom and a few tips to refresh yours
A fresh coat of paint. My bathroom was originally painted gray in a flat finish, not at all ideal for a bathroom. I love the gray, so I chose the same color in a satin finish that will wear much better. No more water stains on the walls.
Declutter and simplify. I removed a decorative shelf and replaced it with a large canvas print. I also gathered up often used items into uniform glass jars. Visually, this keeps my bathroom looking clean, but everything I might need is still at my fingertips. I use mason jars to organize my master bath too!

Fresh scent. A well-used bathroom needs a fresh scent, but a can of aerosol spray isn’t the most appealing decor item. I found Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube to be the perfect middle ground. I am an Angel Soft® fan to begin with, so I was excited to see this product from a brand I already trust. Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube gives off a slight scent that keeps my bathroom fresh, no matter how many guests are using it. The Fresh Lavender scent is applied to the tube and smells amazing.

Fresh flowers. A bouquet of grocery store flowers once a week does so much to brighten up my home. I use most of them in a vase in the kitchen, but a few bold blooms in the bathroom give an air of luxury and infuse color to this small space. A small plant adds life and color to a bathroom as well.

Are you ready to freshen up your bathroom? Start with a durable coat of paint and fresh flowers. Then, shop your home for a few uniform glass jars. If you don’t have any now, save the next couple sauce jars that come through your kitchen. Cutting down on clutter and keeping necessities in pretty jars makes for beautiful decor. Finally, try a pack of Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube to add a light, continuous scent to a well-loved room. You get Angel Soft® quality and a fresh scent all at once, no need for cans of heavy aerosol spray.

What a great idea! I have always heard about putting a drop or two of essential oil on the toilet tube, but never ever remember, nor can I count on my husband to do it! Having the scent already in the tube is genius! Plus, Lavender!!

This sounds great! I won't have to constantly be remembering to replace the little air freshener thingy on my wall! Plus it frees up an outlet... and I already buy angel soft so I don't even have to switch brands! Win win!

Well...you had me at Lavender! And these scented tubes are brilliant...I wasn't aware of them before. Going to check out my Harris Teeter the next time I go grocery shopping. Thanks for the tips!~
