Bright flowers, a warm breeze and a pretty bicycle. Those things just scream Spring to me. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a ride on a warm Spring day after a long cold winter. I was inspired to make a bicycle sign for Spring by a few bunches of bright flowers I spotted at Dollar Tree. This sign has a layered look and features bright colors perfect for the season. Dollar Tree is one of my favorite places to pick up new decor for the season. Today I’m sharing this project along with some other bloggers each featuring beautiful decor projects from their Dollar Store. Check them all out below.

- 11×14 frame
- White patterned wrapping paper
- Black and teal vinyl
- Contact Paper – the easiest and most cost effective way to transfer vinyl
- Silhouette
- Faux Flowers
- Hot glue
I began this project by wrapping the cardboard backing in white patterned wrapping paper. I knew I wanted to add the design to the glass but I thought I should dress up the background a bit as well.
I reassembled the frame and added a black vinyl bicycle to the front along with the words “Enjoy the Ride”. I traced the bicycle in my Silhouette Design Studio from PicMonkey. I love the variety of graphics Picmonkey has to offer, I use them in my blog images and often trace them to use with my Silhouette.
Contact Paper is my go to material to transfer vinyl from it’s backing to its final destination, in this case the glass. It also works on wood, canvas and so many other materials. I reused the Contact paper for both images and was able to move them easily. I highly recommend using this if you work with vinyl.
Finally, I added bright faux flowers using hot glue.
This sign is bright and welcoming for Spring, and has a 3D layered look that I love.

Such a cute project, and you could change out the flowers for any season. I haven't done a Dollar Store project in a while, but I have all the many projects planned :D
