Buffalo check has a special place in my heart and in my decor this holiday season. I have a few yards of fabric that I picked up a couple months back and have been using it to add buffalo check to just about everything.

DIY Buffalo Check Stocking
This simple silver stocking is from the Target dollar spot, a place where so many cute holiday items come from. I thought it looked nice with my mantle décor, but a little buffalo check made it even better.
I cut a piece of fabric to use as a cuff around the top of the stocking. Then I placed it inside the stocking and, using fabric glue, cuffed it around the top and tacked it in place.
Instead of sewing a cuff or doing anything fancy with the back, I just used fabric glue to hold the ends together. This buffalo check stocking will hang on my mantle and the back won’t be visible.
I printed a simple monogram tag and attached it to the stocking with ribbon to finish it off. The black white and silver are a pretty compliment to my red and green mantle this year.
A stamp or more decorative tag would work really well with a stocking like this too.
