November 17, 2019 by Sarah 3 Comments

Do you love wood signs as much as I do? I’ve shared a lot of them here complete with tips and tricks for building painting and stenciling signs. Be sure to check out my full video series on how to create the perfect sign. Today I’m sharing a winter wood sign with a little 3D texture and lots of glitter. Plus you’ll find all sorts of holiday wood signs from some very talented bloggers below.

For this winter wood sign I challenged myself to create something unique and festive using supplies I already had in my craft room. I’m in the process of a complete craft room overhaul and I’m finding all kinds of supplies I forgot I had, it’s like Christmas!

For this sign I started with an old wood pallet sign that was painted with chalkboard paint. I erased the chalk and painted over the black with a pale blue.

I used my Silhouette to cut the word Believe as a stencil from vinyl and painted it with a soft gray paint. Check out my tips and different methods of stenciling a wood sign here.

While the gray paint was drying I worked on some glittery snowflakes.

Using a snowflake paper punch, spray glue and glitter I punched out and decorated a number of snowflakes. I also cut a few from vellum to add more interest to this sign. Using spray glue I coated the snowflakes then sprinkled them with fine glitter in silver and white. A tweezer really helps to move these around and keeps your fingers clean.

Simple wood signs with words and quotes are wonderful, I have them all over my house, but I wanted this one to be a little different. I have used ornaments and lights to enhance signs before and love the depth these extras add.

When the snowflakes were dry and attached to the sign I added some adhesive rhinestones to complete the sparkly winter look.

A pretty winter wood sign that will work in my home from now through the end of the season. I love Christmas decor that I can leave up for a few months.

If you like this winter wood sign be sure to pin it.

Believe is one of my favorite sayings for Christmas. This looks so pretty with the glittery snowflakes.
