The school year is approaching. Little Lady is starting her second year of Preschool She did a little program last year for 2-3 year olds and absolutely loved it. This year she is in a 4 year old program with the same teacher and so excited. I wanted to create something special to hold her first day of school photo and a little info about her on her first day. Using my Silhouette I created a very simple keepsake.

I use my Silhouette to cut paper, vinyl, fabric and lots of other materials. I also use it as a design platform. For this project I was able to create my whole piece in one place, print some pieces and cut others. It really is a versatile machine. If you are interested in your very own Silhouette, keep an eye on Amazon they have some amazing deals. (the link below is an affiliate link)
I created a 5×7 folder with a printed design on the front.
On the inside I cut a photo frame to hold Little Lady’s first day picture. Then on the opposite side I used the Silhouette Print and Cut feature to print out some information and cut a simple shape.

On Little Lady’s first day I am going to have her write her name on the inside and fill in what she is most excited about. I’ll add in her first day picture to have a little keepsake to remember my little girl just as she is.

Ooo... I love the soft colors. Plus, it's really cool that you can open it up and just pop the photo in there. Great project!
