Place cards can make any event feel fancy and formal, they can even take a casual dinner up a notch. As nice as they are, it’s one more thing you need to do to prepare for your dinner. I am taking the work out of place cards for you today. I’m showing you how to easily make stunning glitter place cards without much effort or mess using Core’dinations Glitter Prints.
I love hosting dinner, especially during the holidays. Gathering family and friends around a beautifully decorated table with delicious food is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. It takes a lot of planning and effort to not only plan the meal but prep, clean and decorate. Having a decorating plan and theme for a tablescape makes the day of the big dinner much easier. Having a pre-designed place card is one more piece that can help take some stress out of preparation.
I used Core’dinations Glitter Prints paper, a little twine and some card stock to make these simple place cards pop.
Here is what I used:
- Glitter Prints A2 cards
- Core’dinations card stock
- Inkjet printer
- Punches – small hole and 2 inch circle
- Glue
- Marker
- Twine
Glitter Prints paper from Core’dinations is a fun new paper that allows you to print using your home inkjet printer with no mess and no flaking. It’s a smooth paper with a beautiful glitter finish that comes in a variety of sizes and colors.
I printed these designs onto A2 cards, one of the sizes that Glitter Prints is available in.

Once the card was printed, I punched a 2 inch circle in the bottom right corner and 2 holes on either side of the printed quote.
I tied a piece of twine through the two small holes on the front of the card.
To personal each place card I cut a piece of Core’dinations dark cardstock in blue and green and glued it behind the circle openings. I wrote guest’s name using a silver marker.
There are so many ways you can use Glitter Prints, follow Core’dinations below to be inspired and start creating.
Core’dinations Glitter Prints are now available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels (under Michaels private label) and coming to Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts Stores and A.C. Moore in early 2016!
Tell me what you would create with Glitter Prints?

I love these! So cute and simple! I was pretty sure you were going to be using some fancy machine that I would NEED, but this is even better!
