I am lucky enough to have a guest room in my home. I think I will keep it as a guest room as long as I can. My most frequent guests are my parents and I love having them here. My Mom stayed for 2 weeks when Baby Girl was born. If she had been bunking with Little Lady or on the couch she may not have stayed as long (and I so needed her here!). This room has a nice set of furniture but the bedding is out of date and the rest of the room is bare. It was time for a Guest Room Update with some fun metallic touches.
This was my guest room last week. A purple bed spread I have had for over 10 years, a few worn out pillows, and nothing on the wall. Something I really love in this room is an old Seven-UP crate that I made into a message board. You can see the full post on that project here.
To update this room I started with some crisp white bedding from Lush Decor. The quilt and shams were really affordable and look great. Lush Decor carries a large selection of luxury bedding at reasonable prices. In addition to bedding they have window treatments, shower curtains, and accessories. You could deck out a whole room here.
To go with the bedding I added some long white curtains, a few metallic accessories and throw pillows. The bright white opened up the room and those metallic touches add a little bling.
I added a new DIY metal mirror over the bed. I am so excited to share this with you, it was under $20. You can see the full tutorial here.
Do you have a room that needs an update? How about $200 to do a little shopping at Lush Decor!
Here are just a few of my favorite pieces that you could have in your new updated room.
