Create a spooky Halloween door hanger using a photo mat and some basic craft supplies. Get all the details here and hopefully you’ll be inspired to make your own.
I was cleaning out my craft room looking for items to use for a Halloween wreath. I came across a cardboard photo mat from a frame. I have been using the frame without a mat for some time so I thought about throwing this out, but instead hung onto it to see what I could make. I also found some Halloween burlap ribbon I bought on clearance at the end of the season last year, some spiders and gauze leftover from my mummy jars. I gathered all these supplies and played around until I had a cute and spooky Halloween door hanger.
Here is the full supply list
- Photo mat from an old frame
- Orange burlap ribbon
- Spider web printed, wired burlap ribbon
- White gauze
- Plastic Spiders
- Halloween sign (I printed and cut a graphic using my Silhouette)
- Hot glue
- Ribbon to attach to the back as a hanger
Be sure to watch the video for all the details on how I made this Halloween door hanger.
I tend to hang on to little pieces of everyday items, because I never know when they might come in handy for a craft. I am pretty good about decluttering the rest of my home, but my craft room is full of little treasures I might use some day. Can you relate?
