Halloween Spider Candles Pottery Barn Knock Off

Do you love Pottery Barn as much as I do?  I get giddy when the catalog comes in the mail, I look forward to curling up {kid free} and pouring over every page.  Pretty sure I could live in their fall catalog.

As much as I love it, I am way to thrifty too deck my house out in PB.  A few pieces maybe, but I just can’t justify spending too much.  Besides, I love to DIY as much as I possibly can!

I saw some adorable Halloween decorations last month.  I am not big on decorating for Halloween, maybe a wreath and a few pieces if we’re having people over.  Yet I kind fell in love with these flameless spider candles.  They are small and just spooky enough to add some Halloween flair.

Take a look at how I made my own pair for under $10!

The PB candles are 6″ x 10″ and 6″ x 14″ and are $47 and $63 a piece!  I scored 2 at Target on clearance for $9, they are a little smaller 3″ x 6″ and 3″ x 4″ but still only $9.

Awesome Target Find!

I used my Silhouette to cut the spider web and spiders. I used a design from the store (Design ID 13408) and cut it to the appropriate width and height.

Once cut and weeded I used adhesive shelf liner (Con-Tact paper) to transfer the web to the candle.

The web is cut from matte gray vinyl and the spiders from glossy black.  Before taking the adhesive paper off I smoothed out any bubbles and made sure the web was adhered really well. Once I removed the paper I went over the vinyl again with my finger to ensure a good stick.

How cute are these!  Not too scary, the glow is so pretty at night too.  Loving that they are flameless because Little Lady things they are really cool and keeps touching them.
