Adding foil to paper crafts is a fun way to add shine and texture. There are a few ways to achieve this foiled look.

A few weeks ago I showed you how to foil just about anything using a foil quill pen. This pen is super easy to use and can be used on paper, leather, canvas and other semi-hard surfaces.

The foil quill pen is meant to be used free hand and allows you to draw and write, or use a stencil to get the foiled look.

Today I’m sharing the Cricut Foil Quill Transfer kit that will take your foiling technique to a new level.

Hi, I was excited to try this project with my new foil transfer kit but it gets to “preparing” and then freezes. I’ve tried everything from unplugging my machine to restarting my computer. So disappointed as I was relying on this for my husband’s valentine card.

I actually had this issue a few times as well after i made this video. I ended up having to update my Design Space software and start over. It was frustrating at first but it worked in the end. I hope you find a solution on your end. Best of luck.

This was my first foil card--it turned out so cute! I used lavender paper and the purple foil from the Cricut Jewels foil sampler, and dark purple paper for the card. Adorable! Can't wait to foil more stuff. Thank you!

Really not being funny here, but in your instructions you say open clamp A, that is wrong it is clamp B, even in your pictures it is clamp B. Luckily I noticed otherwise I could have damaged the clamp A unit trying to force it to do something wrong.

Thank you for calling that to my attention! Yes, it's definitely clamp B as I show. I will update my post instructions now. Thanks again.
