This summer I shared how much my family loves ice cream, when given the opportunity we will always choose ice cream for dessert. Now that school has started, and it’s still warm outside, we are enjoying a weekly after school ice cream treat out on the deck to wind down after a long week. It’s the perfect treat for kids and adults and gives us some special time to slow down and catch up on each others lives.
In my last ice cream post I shared how to use Kemps flavors to create your own ice cream and encouraged my local readers to create and vote for a new Kemps ice cream flavor. You provided hundreds of delicious ideas and Kemps narrowed it down to 4. You can find these winning flavors in stores and I encourage you to try them, just look for these Kemps Locally Crafted varieties.
- Cherry & Spoon: This flavor is a real work of art with its whimsical vanilla ice cream, drizzles of chocolaty fudge, real cherries and chunks of brownie.
- You Betcha Berry: Are we thankful this one was created? You betcha! Indulge in a sweet Tahitian vanilla ice cream with a swirl of raspberry, real blueberries and delicious pound cake.
- Up North Blend: Escape for a moment to a crisp day in the north woods, and enjoy a cup of java ice cream with swirls of salted caramel, shaved chocolate, and bits of brownies.
- Muddy Mississippi: Even though it sounds mainstream this is one exceptionally decadent chocolate ice cream. Treat yourself with a dancing swirl of fudge, a sprinkle of chocolaty toffee and shaved chocolate.
I picked up a few containers at my local Pick ‘n Save this week to enjoy with my family after school.
I choose Kemps ice cream for my family for a few reasons, first and foremost because it’s delicious. My kids get the opportunity to pick out their favorite flavors when we go shopping. Kemps has traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla as well as exclusive flavors like Moose Tracks, Pearson’s Salted Nut Roll, Caribou Coffee Java Chunk. I love that every time a Kemps product is purchased, money goes back to the family farmers to continue to care for their cattle. Since 1914, Kemps has been delighting families throughout the upper Midwest with wholesome and delicious dairy products
We’re enjoying these last few days of warm fall weather before we move our weekly after school ice cream treat indoors. But we will continue this well into the winter months, maybe just with sweaters and slippers.
Tell me, which Kemps Locally Crafted flavor do you want to try first?
Thanks for visiting!
