Mason Jar Gift Roundup

It’s November, and Christmas is coming! My first step in Christmas shopping is making a list.  I love lists! I have an Excel sheet with tabs back to 2006 that lists names of everyone I buy for and gift ideas.  I highlight the gift I end up giving so I can look back and see what I have given over the years.  Take a look at my list here and download a version for yourself to stay on track {and budget} this year.

So far this year I have ideas for everyone and have even purchased a few items I know will be hard to find come December.  A number of my ideas include Mason jars this year.  These are so cute and versatile, I have a bunch I can reuse and the gift recipient can use the contents and the jar – perfect!

I plan on doing some cookies, a teacher jar, maybe a co-worker jar (I have the responsibility of buying my husband’s close co-worker gifts….no sarcasm here I really like it!).

If you want to put together the PERFECT jar gift every time, be sure to download your FREE copy of The Anatomy of a Jar Gift.  This guide is only available to Creative Ramblings subscribers, so sign up and get your guide today.

Here is my inspiration for Mason jar gifts this year.

Cookies in a jar, attach the recipe, a cute tag, and that’s it.  This post from Bump Smitten gives nice details on how to layer your ingredients.

simmering pot recipe and gift

This is a great idea from The Happier Homemaker to have around the house and a unique gift idea.  I could see giving this to someone who has everything!

bean and barley soup

I love this idea from  A good hearty soup is great in winter.  Layer it nice and pretty in a jar and pair it with a couple spoons and bowls.  Love this!

Hot cocoa mix + marshmallows in jar, just add Bailey’s!  Great gift idea from Good n U?. I think most of my mommy friends and relatives would appreciate this, I know I would.

Hot Cocoa Mason Jar Gift

Another hot cocoa mix in a jar, this one from Pumpkin and a Princess is beautifully embellished, so pretty.  I love that, when properly decorated, a mason jar gift does not need wrapping.

Update:  This cookie gift was a hit this year!

I am feeling inspired over here, I’ll be sure and share the final gifts I come up with.

What would you gift in a jar?
