Calming Bedroom Inspiration Board

We moved into our new home just over a year ago.  I cannot believe it’s been a year already!  Before we moved in I had our master bedroom painted the exact color of our previous room.  I had just picked out the color and loved it.  When we got in the house we used the same furniture and bedding but still have not gotten around to putting anything on the walls. I love my bedroom furniture.  It was a wedding gift from Grandma.  I worked at a furniture store at the time so I got a steal on an amazing solid wood arts and crafts set and really stretched the value of the gift.

This is a peek at the headboard, my room is in no condition to show you a full view of the bed :)  I’m going to chalk that up to being in the middle of a project and having a couple unruly kids.

I think it’s about time to make this room feel a little more like home, a relaxing calming place.

I love the combination of brown, light blue, and white.  Feels like a serene beach. Before I jump in I need to put some ideas on paper (or PicMonkey).  Check out my inspiration board, from Target of course.  Hopefully I can use this as a jumping off point for some projects this summer.

What colors are in your master bedroom?  What feel do you like your room to have?

I need to make a few inspiration boards. One for my bathroom and one for the kitchen. We are working on both this summer. The bathroom was started and stalled temp. If I only could do it myself, lol! Thanks for sharing at the party!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could do it all ourselves, bummer you had to stop. Hope you can finish this summer! A board might put you in the right frame of mind.

I love the colors!! I actually ordered a very similar quilt (the same blue color with some white) a few months ago from Target and it is sitting at my new house waiting for me to move in... Can't wait to pull it all together with curtails and accessories!! Ashley @ LeavingTheRut.com
