This weekend I had the perfect project in my head…3 canvases with geometric shapes taped off then painted.
Bold primary color art for a shelf in a very bland room. I even had most of the day Sunday to work on this.
Problem is, the image in my head did not make it to canvas. I tried for a couple of hours and just couldn’t get it right. I came to the conclusion that it was not the day for perfect straight lines and primary colors….so I took a break and went in another direction.
Viola! Simple natural cards.
I used some twine and embossed stamps on muted card stock.
These cards have such an easy feel to them, yet they are substantial and thick from the twine and layers.
It helps to have a customer who loves this look too 🙂
I imagine some of you go through this as well; perfect in thought, not so perfect on paper?
I hope you end up with something unexpectedly great in the end.
