Pom Pom Bee Valentine

Today I’m sharing an easy little pom pom bee Valentine, something you can recreate and give to someone special this Valentine’s Day.

How to make a pom pom bee Valentine

Bees hold a special place in my heart.  They are diligent workers, and play a huge role in pollination and sustaining so many of our food sources.  It amazes me how a simple creature can do so much for our population.  I also think they are kind of cute and love creating bee themed crafts using yellow black and gray.  In fact, the top sellers in my Etsy shop are bee themed.

If you are throwing a baby shower or birthday party any time soon I may have some favors or decorations you can use.

I have a few jars of pom poms in my craft room.  Yes jars, everything looks better in a glass jar.  Take those pom poms out of their plastic bags and display them in jars, they will look cute and you’ll probably use them more.  I pulled out the yellow and black ones and started to play around with the idea of a pom pom bee valentine.  Here is what I came up with.

Pom Pom Bee Valentine

Supplies:

  • White card stock – folded into a card
  • Black marker
  • Yellow and black pom poms
  • Googly eyes
  • Hot glue

I guled a few pom poms to a folded piece of cardstock to create a bee body and head.  I drew wings, antenna and legs and finished it off with a pair of googly eyes.

Inside I added “You are Bee-utiful!” inside, a nice sentiment for anyone on my Valentine list this year.

You are bee-utiful Valentine

Do you have a favorite little animal or insect?  I’d love to hear your story.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy Valentine’s Day!
