My front porch finally has some fall touches. Not as much as last year, I Loved my porch last year, but still pretty. I have these amazing pink begonias that have been blooming like crazy since June and I just can’t bring myself to move them. I shared a beautiful picture last week on Instagram. So instead of going full on fall I am leaving my begonias and decorating around them.
I added a couple of mums in purple and orange to compliment the pink flowers. A few pumpkins to accent and this fun and easy sign I whipped up.
I painted the arrows red and orange.
I used my Silhouette to cut my words out of adhesive paper (Con-tact paper). This is my favorite way to stencil, it works on a variety of surfaces.
I applied the stencil and went over it a couple of times with my scraper to really seal it down.
Then I used a sponge to dab the smallest amount of paint over the stencil. This gave a slightly distressed result.
I used a long piece of scrap wood I had and stained it with some leftover dark stain.
Once everything was dry I glued the arrows to the stake and added it to one of my potted mums.
I love all the colors on my porch this year.
The neighborhood kids have already searched my front yard for the apples. There is a sign so clearly there must be apples, so cute.
What’s on your porch this year?
