Looking for a new way to dress up that mirror on your mantle? Look no further, I have a simple technique that will transform your basic mirror into a holiday masterpiece using your Silhouette and one other festive supply. This Christmas mirror will be so easy to create once you have a Silhouette. If you are already a Silhouette owner and lover, now is the time to grab some accessories or maybe a Mint to craft with. Read on for all the details on this project.
I love my Silhouette, I use it almost daily to create everything in my Etsy shop. I also use it to create many of the projects I share here on Creative Ramblings. It really does take crafting to the next level.
Here is what I used to create this Christmas mirror
- Mirror
- Shelf liner
- Silhouette
- Snow
The usable space on my mirror is about 17×21 inches. I opened my Silhouette design software and sized my page to match. I cannot cut this size, but it helps to design the whole image first so I can see how everything will be laid out.
Once I was happy with my design, I ungrouped my pieces and resized my page to match my mat. Then I cut each piece separately. I cleaned my mirror and laid out my design then taped off the sides of the mirror to protect it too.
Using a can of inexpensive spray snow. I coated my mirror lightly, then I carefully removed the shelf liner to reveal a pretty Christmas design.
So easy! I can keep this design through Christmas then change it up using the same technique come January.
