Spooky Halloween Mason Jar Vase

Friends, it’s cold today which means Halloween and {winter} are just around the corner.  I am all for a brisk autumn day, but we are on the brink of freezing here!  That means it’s a great day for crafting inside.  I am sharing a simple and spooky Halloween mason jar vase today.  This little guy was easy and fun to make, and looks extra spooky with those little spiders crawling up the side.

Spooky Halloween Mason Jar Vase

Spooky Halloween mason jar vase. Simple and elegant with a few spooky spiders.

For this project I used:

Pint sized mason jar

Chrome spray paint

Spider web ribbon

Plastic spiders

Flowers

Spooky Halloween mason jar vase, a few supplies for a simple craft project.

I started by spray painting the jar. To ensure an even finish without drips I turned it upside down and sprayed one very light coat all around the jar.  After about 20 minutes I added another coat to finish it off.

Chrome paint on a mason jar makes a great looking vase

I wrapped the rim in a fun spider web ribbon and glued two creepy crawly spiders to the side.  I filled it with deep purple hydrangeas, my favorite flower.

This jar can be used after Halloween if I switch out the ribbon and remove the spiders.  I can never have enough jars, or vasses! If you need more mason jar inspiration read on for #MasonJarMonday!

It's addicting, I used the last little bit I had for this project and and had to get more. I love having it on hand. Loving this hop, glad to be a part of it.

This so chic, Sarah. I love the way the colors complement each other. These would be gorgeous centerpieces for an adult Halloween party.
